Intro
By day I lead and grow design teams building team-collaboration software at Atlassian (yes, it's very meta to support teams supporting teams), by night I'm an avid moonlighter and mediocre dev always tinkering away at something.
Semi-recent side projects I've gone deep on are:
A 3D illustration series learning 3D modelling, texturing, animation in Blender
An AI Avatar generator trained on my face
An automated "key journey" screenshot tool for Atlassian
A set of bots in both Slack and Discord
A 32-day challenge to build a 3D game prototype in Unity (with devlogs)

I'm happiest when I am making things or collecting ideas and connecting dots between things, for myself and for others. I've always got a book in hand, or close by, either to read or to sketch and noodle on ideas in - often both!

Where previously I led our Data Experiences teams getting Atlassian's Teamwork Graph off the ground and powering our "System of Work" with connected data-experiences across our product suite and partnerships (Figma, Github, GDrive, and others), now I lead our AI teams reimagining software development and leveraging this new data foundation even further.
Though there is lots of work I am proud of, I am especially proud of our partnership with Figma helping launch Dev Mode and take meaningful steps to help designers and developers collaborate together better than ever across our products.

Stepped into people management to better support and scale our design team as the pandemic hit. Took increased ownership of the Jira Software experience, setting direction and building new teams covering onboarding, core product initiatives, and our suite of native apps.
Later, made space, coached, and successfully promoted multiple new leaders within the teams to carry work forward as I shifted focus to get our burgeoning Data Experience initiatives off the ground - my first step deeply into the data science and machine learning space, where I hired and built a team of experts to deliver product exp's that help all teams using Jira be more effective with data-powered continuous improvement.

I helped to get this funded and then got to work making that vision a reality with our teams in the following years.
